Your U.S. address
the state can serve.

Every U.S. entity is required by law to keep a registered agent — a real person at a real street address in the state of formation. Bizvee gives you that address, scans every notice the day it arrives, and keeps you off the deadline cliff. One flat fee, one dashboard, all 50 states.

The registered agent, plainly

Four things worth knowing before you pick one.

01

What it is

A person or company designated to receive legal and state correspondence for your business — with a physical street address in the state of formation.

02

Why the state requires it

So the government, plaintiffs and creditors always have a known place to serve documents. Without one, the state can dissolve your entity.

03

What it isn't

It's not a mail-forwarding service, not a virtual office, and not a business license. It's a designated legal seat, and the rules are set by state statute.

04

Why a professional agent

Being your own agent means your home address is public, your privacy is gone, and a missed notice is your problem alone.

Who appoints one

Six founders who need a real address on file.

If any of this sounds like your setup, being your own agent probably isn't the right call.

Non-resident founders

You live outside the U.S. and formed a Delaware, Wyoming or New Mexico entity — state law still requires someone in-state to accept service.

Founders working from home

You don't want your home address printed on the Secretary of State's website, indexed by Google, or handed to spam mailers forever.

Multi-state operators

Registered in three states, four states, ten states. One dashboard consolidates every notice and every deadline.

Remote-first companies

No physical office in the state of formation — you still need a designated agent the state can serve during business hours.

Rescuing a lapsed entity

Fell out of good standing because notices went to the wrong address? We take over the agent seat and get the paper trail back on track.

Founders who value privacy

The registered agent's address becomes the public one. Yours doesn't have to be.

What's included

The whole compliance seat, nothing carved out.

01

A real street address in your state

Not a PO Box, not a mail forwarder — a physically staffed office in the state where your entity is formed, available every business day the state opens for service.

02

Same-day scan of anything served

Lawsuits, state notices, tax letters and subpoenas are scanned and delivered to your dashboard the day they arrive. No waiting on the mail.

03

State compliance reminders

Annual reports, franchise tax deadlines and biennial statements pinged before they're due — the number-one reason companies fall out of good standing.

04

Privacy for your home address

Your name and home address stay off the state's public business filings. Our address is what shows up on the record instead.

05

Non-resident friendly

You don't need to live in — or ever visit — the U.S. We're your on-the-ground presence so the state has someone real to contact.

06

Coverage in every state

Formed in Delaware today, expand to Wyoming and Texas tomorrow. One account, one flat fee per state, one dashboard.

How it works

Four steps.
No paperwork on your desk.

Whether it's a brand-new entity or a switch from another agent, we handle the state-level filing for you.

  1. 01

    Choose your state

Pick the state of formation. If you're in multiple states, add each one — same flat fee per state, all on one account.

  2. 02

    We take over the seat

For new entities, we're listed at formation. For existing entities, we file the change-of-agent form with the Secretary of State on your behalf.

  3. 03

    Notices land in your inbox

Anything served is scanned the same business day and posted to your dashboard. Urgent items — like lawsuits — trigger a phone and email alert.

  4. 04

    You stay in good standing

Automated reminders for annual reports and franchise tax windows. If you want us to file the report too, that's a one-click add-on.

Agent vs. the alternatives

A PO Box won't hold. Your kitchen table shouldn't either.

FAQ

The questions worth answering.

Still weighing it up? A compliance specialist will walk your setup with you before anything is filed.

Do I really need a registered agent, or can I be my own?+

Every U.S. state requires an LLC or Corporation to designate a registered agent with a physical in-state address, reachable during business hours. You can serve as your own agent only if you live in the state of formation and are comfortable putting your address on the public record. For non-residents, remote founders, or anyone valuing privacy, a dedicated agent is the sensible route.

What happens if I don't have one?+

The state can revoke your good standing, dissolve the entity administratively and, worst case, allow a lawsuit to proceed without you ever knowing — because service went to an address no one reads. Falling out of good standing also freezes access to banks and can void limited-liability protection.

Can I switch from my current agent to Bizvee?+

Yes. We prepare and file the change-of-agent form with the Secretary of State for you. Most states process the switch in a few business days. There's no penalty for switching mid-year.

What does 'service of process' mean?+

It's the legal delivery of court documents — usually a lawsuit or subpoena — to your company. State law says that delivery has to go to the registered agent. Whoever holds the agent seat is the person who receives it.

How fast will I see a notice?+

Anything delivered to our office is scanned and posted to your Bizvee dashboard the same business day. Urgent items — lawsuits, tax notices with tight deadlines — trigger an immediate email and, for lawsuits, a phone call.

Is $75 really the total price?+

Yes — per state, per year, flat. No setup fee, no scan-per-page charges, no surcharge for forwarding. Filing a change-of-agent form for an existing entity is included in the first-year fee.
