02Will banks and the IRS accept it?
Yes. Every address is listed as a commercial mail receiving agency under the USPS Form 1583 you'll sign, which is exactly what banks like Mercury, Relay and Wise require. The IRS accepts commercial mailing addresses for all standard correspondence.
03How is this different from a registered agent?
A registered agent is a legal seat for state and lawsuit paperwork only — its address is public on the Secretary of State record. A business address is where you actually receive bank statements, invoices, IRS letters, marketplace payouts and general mail. Most non-resident founders need both.
04Can I pick any state, even if my LLC is elsewhere?
