FAQ
Answers before you file.
How quickly does a change appear on Companies House?+
Electronic AP01, TM01 and CH01 filings are usually processed within 3–24 working hours.
Do new directors need ID verification?+
Yes. Since the ECCTA 2023 reforms all directors must complete Companies House identity verification. We can bundle it with your appointment for £25 more.
Can a company have zero directors?+
A UK Ltd must have at least one natural-person director at all times. We flag this before filing any resignation that would leave you below the threshold.
Do I need to notify HMRC?+
Companies House shares director data with HMRC automatically. If the director had PAYE or was a controlling shareholder, extra HMRC steps may apply — we'll flag them.
What about the Register of Directors?+
Every UK Ltd keeps a Register of Directors as part of its statutory books. We update yours to match the Companies House record and send you the refreshed PDF.
