Can I restore any dissolved company?+
Administrative restoration is available to directors and shareholders within 6 years of strike-off, provided the company was trading at the time. Older or creditor-initiated cases go through the court route.
What happens to assets held at strike-off?+
They become bona vacantia and vest in the Crown. After restoration, ownership can return — but a waiver letter from the Bona Vacantia Division is usually required.
How long does restoration take?+
Administrative restoration typically completes in 4–6 weeks once all documents are ready. Court-ordered restoration can take 3–6 months.
